Stu's Bio

Stu Hall has been involved with photography for over 35 years being  greatly influenced by his dad, Bob Hall, another avid photographer.

Stu specializes in photographing landscapes and nature scenes in the state of Vermont and all around the New England area.

He also enjoys macro photography which allows you to see details
beyond what is visible to the naked eye.

After moving to West Bolton in 1999 he was
intrigued with the snowflake photographs that were taken by Wilson  A. "Snowflake" Bentley (1865 - 1931). "Snowflake" Bentley had lived on Nashville Road in Jericho only about a mile from where Stu lives today.

After several years, and many unsuccessful
attempts, Stu was finally able to perfect a technique that allowed him to photograph snowflakes on black velvet. These photographs are very similar to "Snowflake" Bentley’s yet still unique in their own way.

Stu's snowflake photos can be seen at Stu's other website, "www.SnowflakesbyStu.com"
